Frisant de Gel is Gramona's new ice wine, a sparkling sweet wine born from the concern of Jaume Gramona and his team, who put no limits on their creativity. The Frisant de Gel arises thanks to the symbiosis created between Gramona's long experience in the production of sparkling wines and its great trajectory in the creation of sweet wines. Frisant de Gel wants to get closer to the new consumer, a young audience that is increasingly interested and eager to learn about wine culture. It is a wine with a moderate alcohol content of 9.5%, has very attractive aromas typical of the Gewürztraminer grape variety and has a touch of frizz that gives it an attractive and carefree spark. The wine begins its production as the Vi de Gel de Gramona: the grapes are frozen in a cryochamber to -24ºC so that the grapes reach a temperature of between -5º and -8ºC and after a light pressing, alcoholic fermentation takes place. Then the fermentation stops naturally when the alcoholic strength reaches 9% and in order to achieve the frizzante result, a second fermentation of part of its sugars is carried out.
