The ancient vineyards of Pago del Pisón, over 50 years old, and a successful aging have given rise to a wine that may be legendary. And it has a good path of recognition and praise, even the best of Robert Parker: Viña el Pisón 2004 has been recognized as one of the best wines on the scale of the prestigious American 100 points on the 2007 list, a merit shared with four other compatriots Pingus 2004 Termanthia 2004 Contador 2004 and Clos Erasmus 2004. We will be amazed by its intense and seductively complex aroma, very expressive mix of forest fruits with mineral herbs and liquor nuances (anise). The palate is extraordinary. It shows a great structure and a balanced acidity with dry and powerful tannins and a lot of fruit that appears especially after a couple of minutes in the glass and that is sure to last for many more years in the bottle.
